Carren Knehr received a 2005 National Parent Leadership Award at the Individuals with Disabilities Education Corrdinator's Association annual meeting.

Dr. Jeff Rosenblatt, Pharm.D., has been named assistant professor of pharmacy practice by the University of Southern Nevada.
Two University of Phoenix campuses are moving locations. The Las Vegas main campus will move from 333 N. Rancho, Ste. 300 to 7455 W. Washington St., Ste. 301. The Henderson Learning Center will move from 4 Sunset Way, Building E to 7777 Eastgate Road, Ste. 100.

The Nevada Mortgage Lending Division has moved to 3075 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 100.
Sun West Bank has named Ann Babkowski as assistant vice president/assistant relationship officer of commercial lending for the Flamingo branch location.
Government
Gov. Kenny Guinn named Andrew Clinger as director of the Department of Administration. He has been serving as the agency's deputy director since July 2002.
Charles Kajkowski P.E. was named public works department director for the city of Las Vegas. He will oversee the five divisions of administration, city engineering, engineering integration, environmental and traffic engineering.
Hotel
Harrah's Entertainment named Jim Hoskins senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's New Orleans Casino, effective upon receipt of required regulatory approvals. He was previously senior vice president and general manager of Grand Casino Gulfport.
Insurance
Sandy Dietzel, CISR, CIC has received the designation of construction risk and insurance specialist.
Law
Snell & Wilmer hired Lesley Peña. Her practice is concentrated in real estate, environmental and finance. Peña is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Nevada.
John Frankovich has been re-elected as managing partner of McDonald Carano Wilson. He has been with the law firm since 1973, focusing in real estate law, business law and litigation.
Michael Wall has become a partner with the Law Firm of Hutchison & Steffen. He practices in the firm's business and commercial litigation and appellate law sections.
Medical
Gary Daly was appointed as vice president of sales for ScripNet, a pharmacy benefit management company. Previously, he was vice president of Genex Services where he was responsible for operations and sales management in 13 western states.
Valley Hospital Medical Center has signed an agreement with Florida-based disease management firm National Healing Corp. to establish a wound healing center, which is scheduled to open in mid-January at 2020 Goldring, Ste. 501.
Real Estate
Sky Las Vegas Condominiums appointed Gina Jackson as director of marketing. She has worked for Infinity Broadcasting, the Las Vegas Wranglers and Nevada Public Radio.
Territory Inc. hired Erica Green as a property manager. She will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the company's retail shopping centers.
Pulte Homes' Las Vegas south division has promoted Steve Jarvis to vice president of finance, Jay Haunschild to vice president of operations, Heidi Brett-hauer to vice president of land acquisition and entitlement, and Jeremy Fritz to vice president of planning and development.
Astoria Homes promoted Rick Barron to vice president of planning and engineering. He formerly was director of civil engineering for the company.
